Library staff can fax materials for customers anywhere within the continental United States. The library will provide a half page cover sheet at no charge which may be used for routing or instructions only.
Cost of outgoing materials is $1.00 for each page (excluding the cover sheet). Documents to be faxed are limited to 10 pages. The minimum cost for any transmission is $1.00 to each site. Corrected wrong numbers will be considered an additional site and will be charged an additional $1.00.
Items will be faxed immediately unless staffing isn't sufficient to provide adequate library service. If the remote machine is busy, the library fax will indicate reserved and automatically redial the number 5 minutes later. If the status continues to indicate reserved, staff will dial again. At this point, the staff will contact the customer so they may verify operation of the remote machine. When the customer has verified the operation of the remote machine, staff will try 1 additional time. If the 6 attempts are unsuccessful, the customer will be notified to pick up their materials. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE.
Customer must provide outgoing faxes on unfolded, white, typing grade single-sided paper. Due to the possibility of jamming, the staff may require the customer to make photocopies of items to be faxed at the customer's expense.
The library does not have the staff or equipment to provide broadcast fax service. The library will fax documents to 2 sites only. Faxing is limited to the continental United States.
Payment for outgoing faxes must be made prior to transmittal. Cash register receipts will be attached to status report from the fax machine and given to the customer.
Incoming faxes will be $1.00 for the first page including cover sheet and $1.00 for each additional page. Customers will be notified of incoming faxes and must pay prior to the release of materials. Faxes can not be read over the phone.
Customers will be charged for receipt of personally addressed fax regardless of contents. Charges for items not picked up will be added to the customers library card and the library card stopped until payment is made.
All materials must be picked up during regular business hours within 7 days of customer notification.
